BALANCE IN
STRENGTH
Muscular strength is key to injury prevention. In order for the body to work efficiently, muscle groups must be as strong as the muscle group that works opposite to it. For example, if the chest must be strong for a sport, the back must be just as strong to support the chest. S3 works to implement exercises into already existing practice structures to help athletes balance muscle groups.
BALANCE IN
STRUCTURE
Structural balance is necessary for the body to use muscle groups effectively. The skeletal structure provides the strong base from which muscles pull and push. S3 uses exercise techniques to help the body work towards structural balance. These exercise techniques are often paired with trigger point work to help the body recognize imbalance and work towards correction.
BALANCE IN THE
SOUL
It is important to all people, including athletes, to recognize balance within ourselves. We are not only made up of our bodies, but our hearts, minds, and souls as well. Wendy has done extensive work on boundaries and codependency, and implements these concepts with athletes and others to help individuals learn to communicate healthy limits in each aspect of their lives.
